True Tex Tool Tracker Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 9, 2026

True Tex Plumbing (“True Tex,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of users of the True Tex Tool Tracker mobile application (“Tool Tracker” or the “App”).

Tool Tracker is designed to help authorized employees and users track company tools and equipment, including tool availability, checkouts, returns, condition, repairs, and related activity.

Information We Collect

When you use Tool Tracker, we may collect and store information necessary to operate the App, including:

Account Information

We may collect information associated with your Tool Tracker account, such as your name, email address, user ID, account role, and login information.

Tool Activity

We record activity involving company tools and equipment, including:

  • Tools checked out or returned
  • The user associated with a checkout or return
  • Tool status
  • Dates and times of activity
  • Tool repair reports
  • Descriptions of equipment problems
  • Tool activity history

Photos

Tool Tracker may allow or require users to take or upload photos documenting the condition of company tools and equipment. These photos are used for equipment tracking, accountability, maintenance, and repair purposes.

Camera and Photo Access

The App may request access to your device's camera or photo library when necessary to scan QR codes, photograph equipment, or upload tool-condition photos.

Tool Tracker does not access your camera or photos for advertising purposes.

Device and Notification Information

For users authorized to receive push notifications, the App may collect device identifiers or push-notification tokens necessary to deliver notifications.

For example, administrators may receive notifications when equipment is reported as needing repair.

How We Use Information

Information collected through Tool Tracker may be used to:

  • Provide and operate the Tool Tracker service
  • Identify authorized users
  • Track company tools and equipment
  • Record tool checkouts and returns
  • Determine who currently has company equipment
  • Document equipment condition
  • Identify tools requiring repair
  • Maintain tool activity and accountability records
  • Send authorized administrative notifications
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App

We do not use Tool Tracker information for third-party advertising.

QR Codes

Company equipment may have unique QR codes used to identify individual tools.

Scanning a QR code allows Tool Tracker to locate the corresponding equipment record and perform authorized tool-management functions.

QR codes themselves are intended to identify company equipment and should not contain unnecessary personal information about employees.

How Information Is Shared

Information collected through Tool Tracker may be accessible to True Tex Plumbing and authorized users as necessary to operate the company's equipment-management system.

For example, authorized users may be able to see which employee currently has a particular tool checked out.

We may also use third-party service providers that provide infrastructure necessary to operate the App, such as hosting, data storage, authentication, file storage, and push-notification services.

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide their respective services and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Tool Tracker does not sell users' personal information.

Firebase and Push Notifications

Tool Tracker may use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Cloud Messaging, to provide push notifications.

When notifications are enabled, technical information such as a device notification token may be processed to deliver notifications to the appropriate device.

Push notifications are used for operational purposes, such as informing authorized administrators that a company tool has been reported as needing repair.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information maintained through Tool Tracker from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Tool Tracker, maintain company equipment and accountability records, satisfy legitimate business needs, and comply with applicable legal requirements.

Information that is no longer reasonably necessary may be deleted or anonymized where appropriate.

Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion of their Tool Tracker account and associated personal information by contacting True Tex Plumbing.

Some records may need to be retained where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, security, recordkeeping, or legal purposes.

Where information must be retained, we will limit its use to the purposes for which retention is necessary.

Important: If Tool Tracker allows users to create their own accounts, Apple generally requires users to be able to initiate account deletion from within the app.

Children's Privacy

Tool Tracker is a business equipment-management application and is not intended for children.

We do not knowingly design the App to collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Tool Tracker changes or as necessary to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements.

The effective date at the top of this policy will indicate when the policy was last updated.
